The Arenal Hanging Bridges are a fun and educative option to learn more about the primary forest and the local environment. Bird Watching Tour
We offer the following tour for bird lovers: at 6:00h am an expert bird guide will be waiting for you to take you on a morning walk through the reserve. During the tour, which takes about two and a half hour, your guide will help you to observe and identify all the birds you will encounter on the trail.
In the reserve of the Hanging Bridges of Arenal about 200 bird species have been observed, amongst which migratory as well as resident ones. Due to the variation in microclimates throughout the reserve a high diversity of bird species can be observed and bird lovers are most likely to be satisfied on this tour. The tour takes about two and a half hour and includes half an hour during which you will be able to make a list of all species encountered earlier in the morning.
*As an additional courtesy to clients of the bird watching tour, one free entrance per person to the hanging bridges is offered during regular hours - 7:30 am to 4:00 pm – in one of the three days following the bird watching tour.
Natural History Walk Tour
During this tour, which is only possible upon prior reservation, an expert naturalist guide will take you through our private nature reserve and introduce you to its rich biodiversity. During the walk you will learn more about the fauna and flora of the area as your guide will share his knowledge with you and show you all kinds of species from tiny insects and frogs to snakes, birds and if you’re lucky, the peculiar Ocelot. You can enjoy this unforgettable tour in all safety.
